Positano and Amalfi, like all the towns on the Amalfi coast, are easy to visit on foot. In fact, the layout of their streets would make it almost impossible to travel within the towns by other means. There are several ways to reach these towns:
Extra-urban Transport
POSITANO – AMALFI – SORRENTO
The Sita Sud bus company offers public transport services connecting the Amalfi coast to Sorrento. You can find updated timetables and fares on the transport company’s website.
You can visit the Sorrento peninsula comfortably with one of the private boats that set out directly from the port of Positano, with the boat excursion to the Sorrento coast and Capri from Positano or the boat excursion to the Li Galli islands and Capri from Amalfi.
POSITANO – AMALFI – CAPRI
You can reach the island of Capri from the ports of Positano and Amalfi. For information on timetables and prices, see the website of the NLG transport company
You can visit Capri comfortably with one of the private boats that set out directly from the port of Positano, with the boat excursion to the Sorrento coast and Capri from Positano or the boat excursion to the Li Galli islands and Capri from Amalfi.

POSITANO – AMALFI – NAPLES CAPODICHINO AIRPORT
By taxi: €€
There is no direct connection between the Amalfi coast and Naples Capodichino airport. You will need to take at least two buses (Naples-Sorrento and Sorrento-Positano Amalfi) or choose a private transfer or taxi.
