Sorrento is a fairly small town and many of its places of interest are within walking distance. However, if you want to get around more quickly, there are several transport options available:
Intercity transport
SORRENTO – MARINA PICCOLA
The port and beaches of Marina Piccola are connected by means of transport to Sorrento (such as Piazza Tasso, the Station) by two bus lines that will take you to the centre in a few minutes: Eav Bus (Circular B-C) and Autolinee Torquato Tasso. Alternatively, you can use the Sorrento Lift that connects the port area and beach facilities of Marina Piccola directly with the Villa Comunale located in Piazza Francesco Saverio Gargiulo.
If you prefer to travel by taxi and are willing to spend a little more, you will also find some taxis nearby.
SORRENTO – MARINA GRANDE

SORRENTO – POSITANO – AMALFI
The Sita Sud bus company provides public transport services connecting Sorrento to the Amalfi coast. The bus station is located at Sorrento Station in Piazza Giovanni Battista de Curtis. Tickets can be purchased at bus stations or tobacconists.

Sorrento is connected to Naples by train via the Eav Circumvesuviana line, which allows you to reach Herculaneum, Pompeii and Naples. The railway station is located in Piazza De Curtiis and tickets can be purchased at the station. You can take the Vesuvius Sorrento-Naples line, which is cheaper and makes stops in all the towns in the Vesuvius area, or the Campania Express, which is more expensive but faster because it makes fewer stops.
